Ukrainian military shoots down Su-25 in Donetsk region

On Saturday, May 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in the skies over the Donetsk region.

The Ukrainian Air Force had emerged details about the downing of a Russian Su-25 aircraft.

Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive prototypes of long-range artillery shells from Rheinmetall

Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger stated that Ukraine will receive prototypes of artillery shells capable of hitting targets 100 kilometers away from the German defense concern Rheinmetall.

During an event at the Industrial Club of Düsseldorf-Boss, the Rheinmetall CEO said that the concern plans to provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of munitions, including long-range prototypes.

The Russian Interior Ministry has put Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the wanted list. In response, the President’s Office advised Russians to look for common sense.

Switzerland invites Pope to Ukrainian peace summit

Swiss President Viola Amherd has invited Pope Francis to a summit on the Ukrainian peace formula to be held in June in Burgenstock, Switzerland.

On Saturday, May 4, Amgerd met with the pontiff and spoke with him, among other things, about Russia’s war against Ukraine and other problem areas in the world.

“We invited the Holy See. The Vatican is very positive about the peace conference,” the Swiss president said in an interview with Blick, commenting on her meeting with the Pope.

NATO defines ‘red lines’ for Ukraine’s entry into war with Russia

NATO has confidentially and unofficially identified at least two “red lines” that could lead to the Alliance’s direct intervention in the war in Ukraine, according to Repubblica.

The agency emphasizes that there are currently no operational plans that foresee the deployment of troops to Ukraine, and the described “red lines” should be considered only as an assessment of potential plans in the event of extraordinary circumstances, such as involvement in a war in Ukraine by third parties.
