Man Utd news: Jadon Sancho set for awkward Erik ten Hag reunion as United boss offered advice
European qualification is on the line as Manchester United travel to Brighton on Sunday afternoon, but that's not the only thing on the minds of United supporters.
Three points at the Amex Stadium might not be enough for a European spot if Newcastle also win at Brentford. There's still another chance, though, with Erik ten Hag's team knowing victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final would guarantee them a Europa League spot next term.
Manager Ten Hag goes into the first of those two games knowing his furture remains the subject of specilation. No decision is expected until the summer, but countless others - including England boss Gareth Southgate - have been linked with the Dutchman's job.
There's also a big summer transfer window to think about for United and their part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, whoever is in the dugout. Here, Mirror Football looks at the latest lines from around Old Trafford.
Sancho's awkward Ten Hag reunion
Jadon Sancho has bought a house just a stone's throw from Erik ten Hag's Greater Manchester home, it has been claimed. According to The Sun, the winger's new £3.8million property is just a few minutes' walk from where Ten Hag lives.
The England international's new place, in Hale, has five bedrooms and and indoor swimming pool. United have continued sending people to watch the 24-year-old during his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, where some big performances have prompted questions about his future.
"I know that the players feel pretty welcome in Dortmund, they feel at home, especially Jadon," Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl said in early May. "I think it was a quite good decision to take [Sancho and fellow loanee Ian Maatsen]."
Brighton boss to leave after United game
There was already plenty riding on Manchester United's trip to Brighton, but there will now be the added emotion of a farewell for Roberto De Zerbi. The Brighton boss, who can secure a top-half finish for his side on Sunday, will leave after the season finale.

Roberto De Zerbi with Erik ten Hag
“Roberto has given us two excellent seasons of service in which he has led the club to new heights, not least our first ever European campaign which will live long in the memory of Albion fans," Brighton chairman Tony Bloom said after the news was confirmed. “We have mutually agreed to end Roberto’s contract at a time that suits both parties allowing us the earliest opportunity to plan for next season, and Roberto plenty of time to consider his next move and his future.
“I am sure our fans will give Roberto and his staff a wonderful and fully deserved send off at the Amex before, during and after tomorrow’s match. In the meantime, I’d like to thank Roberto and his staff for all their hard work in the past two seasons. They all leave our club on good terms and with our very best wishes for the future.”
Ten Hag given Evans advice
Former Northern Ireland defender Stuart Dallas has urged Erik ten Hag to extend Jonny Evans' stay beyond this season. Dallas, who played with Evans at international level, retired earlier this season but has been impressed by the veteran's displays since returning to Old Trafford.
“Of course Man United should keep Jonny," Dallas told the Belfast Telegraph. "Jonny has probably surprised himself at how often he has played this year. But it’s not just that he has played, he has been Manchester United’s best defender.
“The games I’ve watched, Jonny has been superb. Jonny’s quality has never left him — his ability to read the game is there for all to see. His experience has helped Man United this season.”
