UFC 301 live streams, start time, full fight card and more for Alexandre Pantoja vs. Steve Erceg

Steve Erceg will do whatever it takes to enter Brazil and beat hometown favorite Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight title. The fight for flyweight bragging rights takes place at UFC 301 on May 4.

Pantoja has eight wins via knockout and ten via submission. He has forced the fight to go the distance and won nine times. “The Cannibal” is known for his aggressive style, resulting in a winning streak that includes two wins against Brandon Royval, a second win against Brandon Moreno, and a submission win against Alex Perez.

Erceg is not in the top five of the UFC flyweight rankings. However, his resume, which includes six wins via submission, makes him an excellent spoiler in the flyweight division.

The Aussie joined the UFC in 2023 and is a massive underdog. Erceg understands how dangerous Pantoja is and will look to adapt and seemingly expose his style until he gets his hand raised.

“I have everything to lose, my whole life has been building up to this moment,” Erceg told Bloody Elbow. “I think the biggest (thing to be wary of) is how mentally strong he is, he’s going to keep coming forward, doesn’t matter if he gets tired, doesn’t matter what’s happening in the fight, he’s looking for a way to win at all times, that’s a dangerous guy.

“He’s a world champion for a reason, I’m not going to be able to put him out of there easily, so I’m going to be trying to break him down and looking for ways to get him out of there, but at the end of the day it’s going to be a tough fight, and I’m willing to go to pretty dark and bad places, and I know he is, so it’s going to be fun.”
