Sports presenter Laura Woods has revealed she has been the victim of a terrifying stalking ordeal after a woman was jailed for harassment.
The 36-year-old gave a victim impact statement as 25-year-old Harneet Kaur was sentenced to 14 months behind bars for the sustained campaign, that caused an ‘enormous and devastating’ effect on the presenter.

It all started out quite innocently when Laura received a delivery of a box of doughnuts to her home in June 2021. At the time, Laura had assumed either there had been a mistake or someone was being nice and even uploaded a photo to social media saying the sweet treats ‘made my evening’.

Laura’s lawyer told the court that Laura didn’t realise this was only the beginning of a very dark period for her. ‘She did not realise this was to be the start of the campaign against her’ he said, revealing that another delivery from Starbucks to Laura’s home included the note ‘from your secret admirer and I’m not crazy.’
However, the situation soon spiraled, as the obsessed Liverpool fan who goes by the name ‘Krazy Harns’ online started to threaten Laura, saying she was going to kidnap her dog and kill it.

She also started sending random parcels to Laura, including sexual health test kits and a Bible. Kaur branded the presenter a prostitute online and said she was a ‘former prostitute who slept herself into a job’.
Kaur was first arrested in April 2022 and had her iPad and phone seized, but it didn’t stop her, she continued with her accusations calling Laura a ‘coke head’ and sending her abusive voice notes on Instagram.

The harassment continued until June 2023. During that time Laura, who suffers from anxiety, was constantly looking over her shoulder as she travelled all over the UK for her job reporting from the sideline at football matches and she had to increase security at home and at work.
Lawyers defending Kaur told the court that she has been diagnosed with autism, and it has lead to ‘obsession and compulsion’ behind her offence, and that she didn’t realise the impact it was having on her victim.

It’s not the only time she has crossed the line; she has also been banned from Anfield for ticket touting.
Prosecutors had hoped to have Kaur barred from every football ground in the UK, as well as Newcastle- where Laura’s boyfriend, Love Island’s Adam Collard lives- and parts of London she frequents, but the judge thought that was a step too far.
Instead, he imposed a restraining order, banning her from contacting Laura and another 14 people and from going within 500 metres of her home.
