More memories came in the form of ‘endless chats’ about the ‘visual stories’ they wanted to create with photographer friends and at one time they lived in a house share together which she fondly remembers they dubbed ‘cleavage cottage.’
‘She was such a gentle, sensitive soul, madly talented and always laughing… I’m truly sad and sorry for her passing,’ she signed off her tribute.

Others shared their memories of Aisling throughout her life, from her younger years running about as the ‘cool’ girl around town to the part she played in their special day as their wedding makeup artist.
Aisling remained defiant about her illness to the end and in the weeks before her death, when she had been moved to palliative care she recounted ‘sneaking out’ to make a very important appointment.
‘Two years since the day I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and what a great two years it was. Today is my birthday and I am now in a secret location getting away from a lot of chaos I found myself in.
‘…However that didn’t stop me sneaking out the other day for a very important appointment with my tattoo artist for my second year’s anniversary tattoo … better to have it done without anyone knowing than to be told I couldn’t get it done. [I] was only gone AWOL for four hours… that was probably the best birthday I ever had.’
Aisling’s removal will take place on Friday morning from Quinn’s Road in Shankhill for a funeral mass at 11am at St Anne’s Church, Shankhill.
