Vegas Golden Knights star centremen Jack Eichel returns to practice in a non-contact red jersey.
Eichel has missed the last 16 games after undergoing surgery on his knee. Before the injury, Eichel was one of the best two-way centres in the NHL.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy doesn’t know if Eichel will make an appearance on the current road trip. The Golden Knights have four games remaining on the road trip which ends on March 4th against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Cassidy talked about the effect Eichel’s absence has had.
“The impact has been all over because he was playing on the penalty kill, playing a lot of minutes with William Karlsson, he’s on our top powerplay”.
The Golden Knights will match up against the Vancouver Canucks and Detroit Red Wings when the road trip concludes. The Golden Knights will need Eichel as the Canucks are the top team in the league standings and the Red Wings are one of the NHL’s hottest teams.
No update has been given on the health of Mark Stone, Brett Howden, Pavel Dorofeyev or William Carrier.
