The New York Knicks got a 2-0 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers in round 1 of the 2024 NBA playoffs on Monday night at Madison Square Garden in absolutely absurd fashion.
Down five points with about 30 seconds to go, Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson nailed a 3-point attempt to get his team within two points of the 76ers with about 27 seconds to go.
Well, on the ensuing Philly throw-in, Knicks guard Josh Hart forced a steal and got the ball to fellow Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo for a 3-point attempt.
The shot bricked, but DiVincenzo quickly got another chance after Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein pulled down the rebound and passed it out to Knicks forward O.G. Anunoby, who got it to a wide-open DiVincenzo for his successful second attempt.
The electric 3-pointer from DiVincenzo gave the Knicks a 102-101 lead with about 13 seconds left, and two more New York free throws sent the Knicks home the 104-101 victory.

Seriously, this is exactly what playoff basketball is about. What a win for the Knicks, and what a heartbreaker for the 76ers.
