CESA will be honored with the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2024 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards gala. The Hal David Starlight Award is presented to gifted young songwriters who make a significant impact in the industry. The chart topping singer will also become the second black woman ever to receive the honor. The first was Alicia Keys in 2005. Who could argue that the last two years belong to her incredible artistry she so deserves Receive the Hal David Starlight Award. Said Songwriters Hall of Fame chairman Nile Rodgers. Earlier this year, she revealed that she’s been working on a deluxe version of her album SOS, but it has now become another album called Lana.
