Strong storms to cause travel problems this Thursday

We want to get a look at that national travel outlook there where well, we have some really significant things to avoid some problem spots and that’s going to be largely associated with this area of thunderstorms that’s going to be expanding. And watch as this blossoms into the Saint Louis Metro in the afternoon and even the tale of this begins to erupt into Dallas. So major delays likely in Dallas and Little Rock and areas like Saint Louis, we could have some big problems here too. On the north side of this, we have showers invading the Chicago area in the afternoon, rain in New York. We also have some wind the issue in Minneapolis and a rain, snow mix into Denver. Color of your commute to green. Good news into Atlanta, Redding, CA and Nashville with great weather for travel in those areas. So that’s low stress. Great news in the Northwest too. Aside from a little bit of snow up in the high elevations, the big cities and main points of reference are in good shape. Most of the Southwest looks good, but we do have that rain snow mix beginning into Denver. You’re going to see that escalate Friday, Friday night as well. Also breezy in Bismarck and Minneapolis. Showers of rain in Omaha. Scattered thunderstorms in Kansas City that’ll slow some of you down in the morning. And then more disruptive storms with major delays likely in Little Rock and in Dallas tied to severe weather potential. Into the afternoon. The Southeast looks good for the most part, generally dry. We do have some scattered showers into Chicago, as mentioned in the afternoon. We’re still sneaking through this one though. Okay tomorrow in Indianapolis, Columbus and into Detroit. But there is some rain shower action in Buffalo, Montreal, a little drizzle possible into Boston, wet roads there, and down I-95 you can see New York and Philly seeing some showers. But we’re in better shape a little farther S into Baltimore and DC and when it comes to flight cancellations. We could see that there will be a few over 100 at least into Thursday and again Saturday and the severe risk is a driver there, especially on Thursday.
