The Golden State Warriors entered Wednesday facing a crucial game against the Orlando Magic, as they continue to barely hang onto 10th place in the Western Conference, the final spot in the play-in tournament.
And Steph Curry came up clutch.
With the Warriors up five with less than 40 seconds left in the game, Curry hit a vintage step-back three-pointer to seal the 101–93 win for Golden State.
After hitting the shot, Curry expressed his emotion during a timeout by kicking a chair on the bench, clearly displaying how important this game was for the team.
With the win, the Warriors improved to 38–34 on the season, increasing their lead over the Houston Rockets to 1.5 games for 10th place in the West. And they did it without Draymond Green, who was ejected within the first four minutes of the game.
Golden State has 10 games remaining in the regular season. Each one is vital if the Warriors want a chance to play in the postseason.
