Peter Parker will become a variation of the Green Goblin in Marvel Comics’ all-new ‘Easy Being Green’ arc, which begins in May’s Amazing Spider-Man #50. The publisher recently released Ed McGuinness’ cover for July’s Amazing Spider-Man #53.
Per Marvel, Peter Parker carries the weight of Norman Osborn’s sins and takes to the skies as the Spider-Goblin. Zeb Wells wrote Amazing Spider-Man, with art by McGuinness and Todd Nauck. McGuinness’ stylized Amazing Spider-Man #53 cover reveals Peter Parker’s gleeful Spider-Goblin on the infamous glider wearing a black and purple version of the Spider-Man costume.

Queen Goblin imbued a spear with the ‘sins of Norman Osborn,’ the metaphysical essence of his murderous dark side, and gave it to Kraven, who stabbed Spider-Man with it, infusing him with Osborn’s sins and bringing out Peter’s dark side. Spider-Man eventually became free of the effects, but with the reappearance of Queen Goblin and the spear in Amazing Spider-Man #47, it remains to be seen if this bears any implication for how Peter will soon become the Spider-Goblin.
Osborn, the original Green Goblin, changed after the Sin-Eater purged Norman’s metaphysical dark side. Norman has attempted to make amends by employing Peter Parker at OsCorp and allying with Spider-Man as the Gold Goblin. Writer Wells has previously teased Osborn’s return to villainy as the Green Goblin, with the upcoming ‘Easy Being Green’ in Amazing Spider-Man #50 potentially being where it happens.

More than a decade since her last appearance as MJ, Marvel vet Kirsten Dunst reveals her thoughts about the recent Spider-Man 4 rumors.
Introduced as an unnamed Spider-Clone in the pages of 1975’s Amazing Spider-Man #149 Gerry Conway and Ross Andru, Ben Reilly was one of several clones of Peter Parker created by Miles Warren, better known as the Jackal. Ben met and fell in love with Janine Godbe, formerly Elizabeth Tyne, who was on the run for the murder of her abusive father.
After Ben’s transformation into Chasm Beyond Corporation’s manipulations, Janine accepts a bag of magical masks from Limbo’s ruler, Madelyne Pryor, granting her the power to transform herself into any monster or being whose visage she pulls from the bag, becoming Hallow’s Eve.
Amazing Spider-Man #50’s ‘Easy Being Green’ arc arrives on May 22. Amazing Spider-Man #53 will arrive in comic book shops in July.
