Katie Hopkins blasted for cruel jokes about Kate Garraway's husband just weeks after his death

She is not one to hold back and Katie Hopkins has once again portrayed her insensitive and cruel side as she poked fun at the death of Kate Garraway’s husband, Derek Draper.

The Good Morning Britain presenter is said to be in a ‘bubble of numbness and grief’ after the former lobbyist died on January 5 after suffering a heart attack.

The harsh comments by the former Apprentice star come after it was revealed that Garraway may be forced to sell her £4m (€4.65m) home where she nursed her husband after his care ‘wiped her out financially’.

Sipping red wine, she joked with her followers that there would be a documentary featuring on the TV that night titled ‘Life After Derek,’ clearly making fun of the original piece that Kate did on her husband, when alive.

Laughing she mentioned how there was a book to follow this. And she didn’t stop her cruel jibes with her giggling stating ‘He’s only been dead a week.’

Posting the clip she added salt to the wound by placing the following false information about this ‘documentary,’ stating ‘ITV documentary tonight. Kate Garraway. Life After Derek allegedly sponsored by Fizzzzzer (Pfizer). Accompanying book available wherever you get your 100th boooooosta #ExcessDeaths.

Adding to the piece she said she knew that when it was posted she would receive many dislikes and outrageous comments, but the former TV star didn’t seem to care.

Broadcaster Lorraine King called Hopkins out as a ‘Sick person, while comedian Dom Joly said she was a person with ‘Zero empathy,’ someone who is a ‘Total grifter.’

Since Draper’s ill health, Kate has done two documentaries-Finding Derek and Caring for Derek where she opened up about her struggles caring for him.
