Stock Split 2024: Bharat Dynamics, a PSU defence stock, is all set for the sub-division or stock split. According to a company statement, the board of Bharat Dynamics has announced stock split and fixed the record date.
Bharat Dynamics is an aerospace and defense company. The Miniratna status company falls under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence.

According to an exchange filing by Bharat Dynamics, its board has announced to split the face value of each equity share in the ratio of 2:1. It means that each share will split into two.
The current face value of each share of Bharat Dynamics is Rs 10. Once the split takes effect, the new face value would be Rs 5.
“…sub-division/ split of existing 1 Equity Share of face value of Rs 10 each fully paid up into 2 Equity Shares of face value of Rs 5 each fully paid up,” the company said in a filing.

The company has also fixed the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders’ participation in stock split or upcoming corporate action.
“The company has fixed Friday 24 May, 2024 as the Record Date for the purpose of determining the eligibility of shareholders for sub-division/split,” the company said.
Bharat Dynamics Dividend History
According to BSE website, Bharat Dynamics in April 2024 paid a dividend of Rs 8.85 on each stock to its investors. In 2023, the company rewarded its investors by paying Rs 1.20 as dividend in September 2023 and Rs 8.15 in February same year.
Back in 2022, the company paid dividend on two occasions to its investors — Re 1 in September and Rs 7.30 in February.
