Zero Motorcycles Unveils Tesla Tap Mini Charging Accessory
As the name suggests, the Tesla Tap Mini works like an adapter for your Zero electric motorcycle. It makes the bike compatible with Tesla Destination chargers, UMCs, and Wall Connectors in the United States of America. Accordingly, Zero claims this adapter unlocks 40,000 charging points over the already existing ones the bikemaker has set up. Many of these points comprise Level 2 chargers, which will ensure you’re juiced up much faster than a conventional wall socket. That said, you can’t access Tesla Superchargers with the accessory.
Brian Wismann, Senior Vice President of Product Development at Zero Motorcycles said:
We’re excited about what the Tesla Tap Mini means not only to the Zero Motorcycles community but also for the continued progress of EV motorcycles within the broader market. This adapter unlocks tens of thousands of new charging opportunities for electric motorcycle riders and provides our customers with an added peace of mind to be able to rely on charging infrastructure when it’s needed on their electric adventures.
