Police are accused of pandering to Just Stop Oil eco clowns by propping them up to stop group 'die-ins' - as officers arrest more than 500 activists in just 12 days

A Metropolitan Police officer tasked with removing Just Stop Oil demonstrators from a protest in Central London has been photographed sitting with his back to an eco-zealot.

The eco-group who have been causing chaos in London for over 12 days have vowed to march from Trafalgar Square everyday as part of their latest round of protests.

This afternoon, police were again called into action as the eco-mob attempted to bring Whitehall to a standstill with cops confirming they had made 15 arrests.

In a video taken from the scene, the policeman can be seen sitting casually propping up the protester, who remains silent as a police van rumbles into view.

A member of the public can be heard saying, ‘What is this?’ at the strange scene.

Confirming the arrests on X, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Officers have arrested 15 Just Stop Oil activists following the slow march on Whitehall.

‘Arrests were made under Section 7 of the Public Order Act.’

Pictures emerging from today’s protest show activists being arrested on the road by waiting police officers.

In one shot, police can be seen manhandling the protesters off the road after they attempted to play dead to frustrate arresting officers.

The fresh disruption comes just hours after around 200 people staged a sit-in protest at Waterloo Station in London to call for a ceasefire in Gaza in a series of events across Britain.

The JSO activists were carried away in droves by police during the sit-in with pro-Palestine protesters, despite a banning order by British Transport Police.

The JSO X account posted: ‘Sit in protest demanding a ceasefire at Waterloo station. Police have threatened to arrest everyone present. This is Britain in 2023.’

In one video, a female activist is carried out by three officers and says to the camera: ‘I will not be complicit with a genocidal government. Thousands of children are getting murdered.

‘What are you doing? Why aren’t you here sitting down in the station? It’s easier then going on a march with a million people. Do something.’

In another video, a man in orange jacket is searched by police, whilst saying: ‘I was just simply sitting there shouting for something clear and obvious, which is for a ceasefire’

The group could be heard chanting ‘Free, free Palestine’; ‘Sit down, join us’; and ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ as they protested in the centre of the station

The camera holder asks an officer why he has been arrested, to which the cooper claims he doesn’t have to say, before asking a group of people to move away.

In the same video, another person is dragged out on their knees by police, as fellow protestors say ‘thank you ‘ to them.

In a third clip, footage shows a man with glasses being carried out of the station by two police officers, he can be heard saying: ‘We demand a ceasefire. We will not let the Palestinians be treated like animals. They are people and they deserve to live.’
