The Mark Coster Annual Remembrance Run returns on Sunday, April 28, and organisers are asking anyone attending to please make online donations towards the I Am Alex campaign.
Last year’s event was organised by Gavin Ryan and Angelina Coster in memory of Mark of Drumkay, Rathnew, who died in April 2021, and it proved a resounding success. Bikers from across the country descended on Rathnew, stopping at Mark’s graveside to lay a wreath, before journeying to Drumkay.
This year’s memorial run leaves Bray seafront at 11am and will head to Rathnew Cemetery and then on to Arklow, before returning back to Bray. All bikes are welcome to attend.
The organisers are requesting donations towards the I Am Alex campaign in aid of four-year-old Alex Dunne who suffers from the rare brain condition Periventricular Leukomalacia.
His parents Dave and Cliona thanked the organisers of the run for thinking of them, and said: “Thank you so much for helping Alex again this year. Last year was tremendous and many memories were made and we are really looking forward to this year’s run.”
Donations can be made via www.IamAlex.ie.
