The Russian Ministry of Defense has complained about an alleged drone attack on the country’s territory during the night of April 27. Supposedly, the occupiers managed to repel the mass shelling, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“During the past night, attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type UAVs on objects within the territory of the Russian Federation were thwarted,” the statement reads.
The Russian Ministry of Defense adhered to its usual tactics and claimed the “destruction” of 66 UAVs over the territory of the Krasnodar Krai, with two more drones destroyed over the Crimean Peninsula.
Drone attacks in Russia
Russian territory is constantly under drone attacks, often targeting military-industrial complexes and oil refineries. The night of April 27 was no exception.
Strike drones targeted the Krasnodar Krai, resulting in hits and a fire at the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery near the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban.
On April 25 in Omsk, Russia, a strong fire occurred at a facility on the Krasnoyarsk Highway, where three tanks with petroleum products ignited. Special trains were even called in to extinguish the fire.
