#23 – Dorrance family: Campbell Soup
The formula for Campbell’s famous condensed soup was invented in 1869 by John T. Dorrance and he later took the helm of the Campbell’s Soup Company in 1914. Today, the company generates more than $9 billion of annual revenue according to Forbes.com. Three family members are on the company’s board and 87 members own more than a third of the company’.

But it wasn’t until 1932 after his son, Robert Wood Johnson II, assumed control that the health products company became a global brand according to Forbes.com.
