Dan Lanning and the Ducks are adding a huge playmaker for the 2024 season.
Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart has committed to the Oregon Ducks following a recent visit to Eugene.
He announced his decision over social media.

Stewart spent two seasons with the Aggies in College Station and played in 18 games. During those two seasons he caught a combined 91 passes for 1,163 total receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
He’s ranked the No. 2 overall player and the No. 1 wide receiver according to the 247Sports transfer portal rankings. His lofty transfer portal ranking is on track with his high school ranking: as he was rated a five-star (0.9940 per 247Sports Composite) recruit and a top-15 player nationally.
The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and a freshman All-American by the Athletic in the 2022 season.
A former standout at Frisco (Tex.) Liberty, Stewart has two years of eligibility remaining upon enrolling with the Ducks.
His commitment couldn’t come at a better time for the Ducks, as they’re looking for a new No. 1 wide receiver in 2024 after losing Troy Franklin to the NFL Draft, who’s arguably the best receiver the program has ever seen.
It’s more good news for wide receivers coach Junior Adams, as veterans Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden already announced that they will suit up for the Ducks next season following a 45-6 Fiesta Bowl win over the Liberty Flames to star the new year.
The Ducks have may lost the best wide receiver the program has ever seen, but they will be far from lacking talent at the position as they move to the Big Ten next season.
