Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend Paolo Liuzzo has been found dead after a suspected overdose in a Miami hotel.
Their relationship, which began in 2005 when Beatrice was 17-years-old, and Paolo, was 24, came to a halt the following year in 2006.

Beatrice is said to be devastated by the news which unfolded on February 7. US police responded to a distress call at the citizenM Miami Worldcenter hotel. The exact cause of Liuzzo’s death remains undisclosed officially, but the Miami Police Department revealed that it is being treated as an overdose, with investigations ongoing.
Beatrice has not yet commented on his death.

Sources say that Liuzzo struggled with gambling and drug use. He was previously arrested in Australia over possession of cocaine.There were also worries at the time of his death that he had mounting debts to loan sharks.
Liuzzo’s troubles with the law were not confined to drug-related issues. In 2002 he was charged with the manslaughter of a fellow student at the College of the Holy Cross in the US.
19-year-old Jonathan R Duchatellier died during an off-campus fight that involved Liuzzo who later served a community sentence for his involvement.
The New Yorker met Beatrice through friends but they split when the report of the manslaughter charge surfaced.

The self-confessed party boy also admitted to cheating on Beatrice during their relationship.
At the time of his death, he was working as an art consultant.
