El Presidente Gabriel Boric se refirió a la figura del “perro matapacos”, personaje que se hizo conocido durante el estallido social, en el año 2019.

Cabe recordar que este animal fue un importante miembro de la comunidad estudiantil, el cual se popularizó por haber participado en varias manifestaciones de estudiantes. Sin embargo, estos días ha estado en boca de varios representantes políticos estos días a raíz del asesinato de los tres carabineros en Cañete.

Ahora, el mandatario habló sobre lo que representa esta figura mientras se encontraba en una entrevista con las radios de la Asociación de Radiodifusores de Chile (Archi). En primera instancia, el jefe de Estado aseguró que nunca le hizo sentido la imagen del “perro matapacos”, asegurando que creía que era “burda y ofensiva”.

“Yo jamás festiné ni me hizo ningún sentido la imagen burda del perro aquel, del perro matapacos, como le llamaban. Ustedes jamás van a encontrar una declaración mía festinando o haciendo gala de aquello”, expresó Boric al medio.

Según sus palabras, en estos momentos le parece una figura “ofensiva, denigrante y no es la manera que yo entiendo cómo se tiene que hacer la política”, criticó, según consignó CNN Chile.

Estas declaraciones se dieron luego de que el mandatario fuera consultado sobre qué le pareció el actuar de la institución de Carabineros en el 2019, en donde comentó que en ese momento los funcionarios policiales no estaban preparados para lo que sucedió en esa época.

Eso sí, Boric enfatizó que durante el estallido social sí hubo actitudes y acciones reprochables de parte de los uniformados.

“Hubo violaciones a (Derechos Humanos) DD.HH. y eso no tiene sentido desconocerlo. Entonces yo no me arrepiento de haber levantado la voz en ese momento para decir ‘esto está mal, hay que pararlo’”, expresó el actual Presidente de la República.
