College football analyst Joel Klatt will be the first one to tell you how much talent there is in this upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. He offered his insights with his 2024 NFL Mock Draft 1.0 on Wednesday’s episode of The Joel Klatt Show. There are a few key positions he believes has the most depth.
The good thing for football fans is that these deep units are some of the flashier ones: quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive tackle. Klatt’s first mock draft predicts six quarterbacks going in the first round. His first three picks overall are signal callers, with three more coming in throughout the round.
1. Caleb Williams – Chicago Bears
2. Drake Maye – Washington Commanders
3. Jayden Daniels – New England Patriots
.
.
.
12. Bo Nix – Denver Broncos
.
16. J.J. McCarthy – Seattle Seahawks
.
21. Michael Penix Jr. – Miami Dolphins
If his prediction comes to fruition, that would be the most quarterbacks taken in the first round of the NFL Draft since 1983.
