We all know BBC love a Christmas special, and for Strictly this year they’ve got something really special up their broadcasting sleeves.
Their Strictly Christmas special lineup is slowly being revealed, and among the all-star cast is EastEnders Jamie Borthwick, and newsreader Sally Nugent.

Fans of the show can look forward to the ballroom they’re so used to seeing each weekend transformed into a winter wonderland for a Christmas special.

The famous faces that are due to appear in the festive exclusive will be competing for the title of Christmas Champion 2023.
Presenter and British historian Dan Snow who you’ll recognise from BBC’s history programmes has been paired with pro Nadiya Bychkova.

Speaking of his upcoming dancing debut, for Dan, the nerves are already starting to kick in, admitting, ‘I am absolutely terrified about hitting the dancefloor.’
Sally Nugent will be dancing with fan favourite Graziano Di Prima, who was at the centre of some drama this season.

Sally dubbed her feelings for her appearance as ‘thrilled and slightly terrified,’ adding that she hopes the judges will be ‘filled with Christmas spirit.’ Here’s hoping that’s true for the likes of Craig!

EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown on the show will also be joining the Christmas special’s cast.
He’s been partnered with Strictly pro-Nancy Xu, who had a brief stint on this year’s show after she was paired with Les Dennis.

‘I am so excited to be joining the cast of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special,’ Jamie said. ‘From Walford to a waltz, I can’t wait to learn a new skill and put my dancing to the test.’

‘I’m hoping to spread Christmas cheer,’ he added, ‘and have a good laugh with my professional dancer… Get me on that dance floor!’
The final three contestants are due to be revealed on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on Thursday 23 November. With how they’ve done so far, we’re sure producers haven’t disappointed with the remaining three.
