Lions star Jordan Hendrikse showed off his long-range boot before his side’s United Rugby Championship clash against Munster on Saturday.
Hendrikse started the match against Munster at fullback and knocked over three of his four shots at goal for an 8-point haul in the 13-33 defeat.

The 22-year-old is bidding to follow his older brother Jaden in making his Test debut for the Springboks and was named in Rassie Erasmus’ first alignment camp of 2024.
The versatile back is known for his attacking prowess in the playmaking channels, but ahead of the clash against Munster, he showed off another of one of his lesser-seen skillsets – his long-range kicking.
While it must be noted that he was kicking at altitude, Hendrikse still showed that he has some insane distance, knocking over a 63-metre kick during the warm-ups.

It wasn’t just the distance from where Hendrikse took the kick but also that he managed to clear the dead-ball line.
South Africa will take on Wales at Twickenham Stadium on June 22, and the Springboks could be without Rugby World Cup fly-halves Manie Libbok and Handre Pollard for the fixture.

The clash is on the same day as the URC final, and if the Stormers reach the finale, Libbok could miss the match, while Pollard is not eligible as the match is outside World Rugby’s official international window and won’t be released by Leicester Tigers.
Reports suggest that Sanele Nohamba could be starting at fly-half for the Springboks but he will face competition from his teammate Hendrikse for a Test debut.
While the Lions are still in the running for a place in the playoffs, their loss to Munster is a hammer blow to the side who are now ranked 11th overall after 14 rounds.
