Plane lands in Istanbul without front wheels
A FedEx cargo plane has landed at Istanbul Airport with no front wheels.
Pilots of the Boeing 767 managed to stay on the runway, but had to climb out of the cockpit window after landing.
FedEx says it is coordinating with authorities’ investigations and will provide additional information as it’s available.
The aircraft was flown in from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and informed the control tower in Istanbul that its landing gear had failed to open.
