Just like granddad! Fearless Grace Warrior Irwin, three, asks mum Bindi if she can pat a wild snake's back in remarkable video

Bindi Irwin's three-year-old daughter Grace has shown she is already growing into a fearless Wildlife Warrior.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, mum Bindi, 25, shared an adorable video of Grace's encounter with a wild snake that channeled the spirit of her late grandfather, Steve.

The carpet python, which Grace decided to name 'Lionel' was found on the grounds of Australia Zoo, and the toddler had a very important query for her mother.

'Pat her back?' young Grace asked in the video.

An amused Bindi explained 'We can't pat her back because she's a wild one.'

Following this sweet exchange, Grace's dad Chandler Powell, 27, arrived with a snake bag and ferried the reptile to a safe place in the bush behind the zoo.

Bindi was then seen letting the python out of the bag as it slithered away into the undergrowth.

Fans in Bindi's comments went wild at the adorable display.

'Average human: Snake? Run! Human w/ Irwin DNA: Snake? Can I pet it?' one follower joked.

Another fan's heartfelt message read, 'I can't tell you how beautiful it is to have grown up watching your Dad befriend animals for the purpose of teaching and to now watch you and your daughter do the same.'

'This entire family is soooo wholesome I want to cry,' wrote another follower.

It comes as Grace and Bindi last month welcomed a new member of the family.

Bindi took to Instagram to share a cute video of Grace introducing a tortoise to the camera.

'This is a tortoise eating a flower,' the budding Wildlife Warrior said as the reptile munched on a red hibiscus bloom.

'She's a huge tortoise... tortoise goes in land and turtles go in water. Their favourite food is leaves,' the toddler added, to which Bindi replied: 'that's right baby.'

At the end of the video, Bindi was seen holding up the animal alongside Chandler and Grace, while saying, 'Thank you for joining us as Grace taught us a little bit about tortoises.'

Bindi captioned the Instagram post 'Grace is here to tell you about her friend,' followed by a tortoise emoji.
