A Dublin Airport bound plane called for Garda help on Bank Holiday Monday due to an alleged incident.
The flight, coming from Doha in Qatar, made a request for assistance from gardai and paramedics as it approached Ireland.
The alleged incident happened on Boeing 787 – Qatar Airways flight QR17, which landed in Dublin around 12.15pm.
Gardai confirmed that they attended and that enquiries are ongoing.
A Garda spokesman told the Irish Mirror: “Following request for assistance, gardai responded to a report of an alleged incident on board a flight arriving at Dublin Airport on the afternoon of Monday 18th March 2024. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Just minutes later, another flight at Dublin Airport is understood to have requested assistance due to “some disruptive passengers”.
Irish Aviation enthusiast @Seans_Aviation on X, formerly Twitter, shared an update about Airbus A220-300 Air Baltic flight BT661 from Riga in Latvia.
He reports that it landed at Dublin Airport and stopped on its journey from the runway to the gate around 12.30pm.
“#BT661 / #BTI6A1 has stopped on W2 and are requesting Gardai (Police) on stand due to some disruptive passengers,” he said.
