Piers Morgan's two-word response to claims Kate and Will's new video is fake

Piers Morgan had a straightforward response to the latest video of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Princess of Wales was seen chatting happily with Prince William in a video taken from their shopping trip in Windsor on Saturday. The footage showed Kate carrying a bag of shopping along with William, who also carries a bag, as they made their way out of the shop and into the car park.

The clip was captured by an onlooker, who spotted the pair and described them as looking ‘happy’. Prince William and Kate’s outing comes after weeks of internet speculation on the whereabouts of the Princess, who had been recovering from recent abdominal surgery.

After seeing the footage, talk show presenter Piers posted: “There’s Kate!” He later added: “Great to see Kate laughing and joking with William on their shopping trip. She’s obviously recovering well. This should end a lot of the conspiracy theories.” It did not stop the conspiracy theories.

Fans took to the comment section to claim that the person in the video is a body double as her “ears are different” and they “don’t look the same”. One user even confidently wrote: “This is clearly not Kate Middleton,” while another posted: “Doesn’t look like Kate, I think they’ve replaced her.”

Piers had enough of the conspiracy theories and reposted his tweet, adding: “UPDATE: Nobody on here believes it’s them (it is…) so the conspiracy theories have increased,” along with an eye roll emoji.

The video comes after Kate’s absence from public life, following abdominal surgery on January 16, led to wild conspiracy theories on social media about her whereabouts and health status. Details of her condition have not been revealed, but Kensington Palace previously said it was not cancer-related and that Kate wished her personal medical information to remain private.

Online speculation about the princess intensified after Photoshop edits were spotted in a Mother’s Day photograph of Kate and her children, which led to the princess admitting to ‘editing’ the image and apologising for any ‘confusion’ caused.

Kate has been snapped twice in public since her operation. In one photo taken at the beginning of the month, she was a front seat passenger in a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton, in the Windsor area. She was also spotted sitting next to William in a car last Monday when he attended the Commonwealth Day service in London and she was driven to a private appointment.
