Paris Pulse: Canada's Olympic attire revealed, a Paralympic spot in wheelchair basketball
100 days Welcome to Paris Pulse, your weekly dose of Canadian Olympic and Paralympic updates as we gear up for this summers games in the City of Light. Get excited, it’s officially less than 100 days until the Olympic Games. With so much to look forward to, Team Canada has just revealed its styling kit sponsored by Lululemon. Rocking the classic red and white and some fun new patterns, these uniforms are a total vibe and the athletes let’s hear what they think. It feels good to represent Canada. It feels good to be wearing this kit. We’re going to Paris, the city of fashion. I think this is an amazing kit to be going to Paris with. I think all eyes will be on Team Canada. I think we look great and I think people will be jealous when they see our kids. Switching to the Taekwondo mats, Joseph Mccaffidar is Paris bound after clinching her spot in the women’s 49 kilogram at the Pan American qualifiers. Making her Olympic debut, she’ll be joining the talented Skyler Park on the team. Get ready to cheer them on. In Paralympic news, the Canadian men’s wheelchair basketball team just earned their way to the Paralympics after a heart stopping buzzer beater loss to Iran. They bounce back with a thrilling win against Italy and they are released. I’ve won gold medals. I didn’t celebrate as hard as this, so. Just reality of 2024, it’s tough to get there, a lot of hard work and relationship building and stuff that’s going on the last few years. Over an ancient Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, the torch relays have begun. The torch will be passed through parts of Greece and starting April 26th, the Olympic flame will begin making its way through France. It will be the centerpiece of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on July 26th. Lastly, our standout CDC Olympic coverage team has been announced.
