Top Irish country singers set to perform in Wexford for a worthy cause
Three top Irish country singers are set to visit Ballygarrett GAA complex in north Wexford on Monday, June 10 to raise vital funds for MS Ireland.
People of all ages are welcome to come along and enjoy music from local Wexford musicians Stacey Breen and the Hardy Bucks as well as Stephen Bennett and Kelan Browne from further afield.
Organiser Bernadette (Ben) Fortune is looking forward to the event and raising money for this worthy cause that is particularly close to her heart.
"The funds will go towards research for MS. I’ve suffered from it myself for the past 8 years, I’ve been a wheelchair user. I just wanted to give back to them because they’ve been a great help,” said Ben.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that occurs when the immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord.
There will be a monster raffle on the night with plenty of amazing prizes and vouchers up for grabs as well as door prizes. Doors will open at 7.30p.m. and the music will start at 8p.m.
Ben also thanked all of the musicians for taking part and encourages everyone to get jiving for MS Ireland.
Tickets are €20 and can be bought on the night, at Gerard’s Store in Ballygarrett or by calling Bernadette at 0872041145 or Jenny at 0877732206.
