Artist Keely Iqbal has told fans Jack Keating was “gutted” after he was late to the birth of his first daughter, Maya.

The pair welcomed their daughter last March.

Keely told fans on her Instagram Stories that the former Love Island star ”rushed” to the birth of their daughter but ended up arriving nine minutes after she was born.

Replying to a question: “What did your partner do while you were in labour?”, she replied: “Was very lucky to have my sister @grxcemia._ very solid birth partner and hand squeezer,” she said followed by a laughing emoji.

“She watched birth at 17-years-old,” she said.

She then added: “Jack was gutted to arrive 9 mins after Maya arrived, his rushing was rushing enough,” she said with another laughing emoji.

Both Jack and Keely have been happily co-parenting.

Jack previously said he was “looking forward to co-parenting” with Keely.

The son of Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly said at the time: “I am delighted to announce the birth of my little girl. Her mother and I have decided to keep her identity private for now and we ask everyone to please respect our privacy at this time.

“My daughter’s mother and I are not together, however we look forward to co-parenting and giving our little girl the best support system that she needs.

“This is an exciting new chapter for me and my family and I am completely besotted already. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a father and give my daughter the most amazing life.”
