Pakistan players load luggage into a truck on arriving in Australia for Test series; Watch video
Pakistan cricket team’s players were on Friday seen loading their own luggage into a truck on their arrival in Australia for a three Test series. None of the representatives from Cricket Australia or the Pakistan embassy were present to welcome team on their arrival.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on the micro-blogging platform ‘X’. In the video, Mohammad Rizwan can he seen assisting his teammates in loading the luggage into the back of the truck.
Fans were quick to notice the mismanagement from Cricket Australia, with some of them even calling the board “disrespectful”.
Pakistan are seeking a fresh start following their group stage exit from the 2023 World Cup. The Men in Green have undergone a drastic change in leadership, with Babar Azam stepping down as skipper across all formats. Shan Masood has taken over as Test skipper, whereas Shaheen Afridi will lead the Pakistan T20I side. Mohammed Hafeez was appointed the Director of Cricket, whereas Wahab Riaz has taken over as the Chairman of Selectors.
Pakistan are scheduled to play a tour match against Prime Ministers’ XI starting on 6 December. The first Test will be played on 14 December, while the Boxing Test takes place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will host the third and final Test from 3 January.
