UKRAINE-TICKER-IOC - Russen und Belarussen nehmen als Neutrale an Olympia teil

08. Dez (Reuters) – Es folgen Entwicklungen rund um den Krieg in der Ukraine. Zum Teil lassen sich Angaben nicht unabhängig überprüfen.

16.28 Uhr – Russische und belarussische Sportler sollen dem Internationalen Olympischen Komitee (IOC) zufolge an den Pariser Spielen 2024 als Neutrale teilnehmen. Ausgeschlossen seien Athleten, die die russische Invasion der Ukraine unterstützten sowie offizielle Vertreter beider Staaten, heißt es in einer Erklärung. Auch dürfen keine Mannschaften aus den beiden Staaten teilnehmen. Sportler sollten nicht für die Handlungen ihrer Regierung bestraft werden, hieß es zur Begründung. “Der Schutz des Rechts einzelner Athleten, trotz der Suspendierung ihres Nationalen Olympischen Komitees an Wettkämpfen teilzunehmen, ist eine bewährte Praxis, die die Menschenrechte respektiert.” Eine ukrainische Stellungnahme liegt nicht vor.

09.22 Uhr – Russische Kampfflugzeuge haben am Freitagmorgen 19 Langstreckenraketen auf Ziele in der Ukraine abgefeuert. Dabei wurde ein Zivilist in der Zentralukraine getötet, vier weitere verletzt, wie Regierungsvertreter mitteilen. Der Angriff war die erste große Raketensalve, die Russland seit Wochen abgefeuert hat. Ziel war auch die ukrainische Hauptstadt Kiew. In den letzten Wochen hatte Russland bei seinen nächtlichen Angriffen hauptsächlich Drohnen eingesetzt. “Leider ist eine Person tot,” teilt der Gouverneur der Region Dnipropetrowsk, Serhij Lyssak, über den Kurznachrichtendienst Telegram mit. Die Luftabwehr habe 14 Raketen über der Region außerhalb Kiews und der zentralen Region Dnipropetrowsk abgeschossen, wie Luftwaffensprecher Jurij Ihnat im Fernsehen sagt.

2.00 Uhr – Russische Streikkräfte fliegen dem ukrainischen Sprecher des Militärs verstärkt Lufteinsätze und setzten weitere Angriffstruppen ein, um die Stadt Awdijiwka in der Ostukraine einzunehmen. “Den zweiten Tag in Folge haben die Besatzungstruppen Kamikaze-Drohnen und Flugzeuge aktiv eingesetzt. Die Zahl der Gefechte hat deutlich zugenommen”, sagt der ukrainische Militärsprecher Oleksandr Stupun im staatlichen Fernsehen.
