'It’s not the case' Palace denies Kate Middleton is in a coma following claims from Spanish journalist

The recent health scare concerning Kate Middleton has been clarified, following claims by Spanish journalist Concha Calleja on the Spanish news program Fiesta.

Following Princess Diana’s abdominal surgery in January, Calleja claimed that Princess Kate, 42, was in a coma due to complications.

Calleja reported that the doctors had to make drastic decisions, including inducing a coma and intubating her, due to unexpected complications in the postoperative period.

She said that Kate’s recovery was ‘possibly going to require a bit of assistance, and I’m not just referring to her family’ – as she claimed ‘practically an entire hospital’ was being set up to support her at their Windsor home.

But the Spaniard’s claims have been rubbished by the palace who say that it is ‘total nonsense’. Telling the English Times ‘No attempt was made by that journalist to fact-check anything that she said with anyone in the household. It’s fundamentally, totally made-up, and I’ll use polite English here: it’s absolutely not the case.’

Kensington Palace officially announced on January 17 that Princess Kate had undergone a planned abdominal surgery with a successful outcome. Although her diagnosis remained private, it was confirmed to be noncancerous.

Contrary to the dramatic claims made by Calleja, the palace mentioned that Kate’s recovery required her to stay at the hospital for up to two weeks. After 13 days at The London Clinic, Princess Kate returned home to Windsor and is not expected to resume royal duties until after Easter.

Now Concha Calleja has doubled down on her claims saying ‘I reaffirm what I said…This happens when you touch a nerve, it is annoying. I fully trust my source. What happens is that they feel upset because we have discovered the truth.’

The palace keeps saying when there is a significant update to share it will let the public know. Until then conspiracy theories will continue to fly around the internet. But really what’s going on with Kate is her business entirely.
