That’s footage from Tehran, Iranians celebrating last night’s attack. Jewish leaders here in the United States are worried the violence might spread to their communities. Madison Scarpino is live in Atlanta with more Madison. John, a lot of people in the Jewish community tell us they had a sleepless night after yesterday’s Iran attack. One rabbi here in Atlanta says that he’s devastated but not surprised. We now see what Iran is capable of. We’ve been warning the world for many, many years that this was going to happen. And now we saw that that it happened. And we would not have been able to fight off all of these missiles and drones without the ironclad support of the United States of America. And all of us in America should be grateful. Another rabbi in New York City says the situation is, quote, absurd. He says when the attack started last night, NYPD and Jewish leaders there immediately started coordinating. Since October 7th, the security budget of our synagogue has has doubled. We’re spending over $300.00 per family on security. Our members wouldn’t come to synagogue otherwise. Lieutenant Colonel Avital Label, which is the Jerusalem director of the American Jewish Committee. She’s in the IDF reserves and currently visiting the US She says once the attack started, she’s had nonstop contact with family and friends in Israel. On the one hand, huge amount of tensions, but now the morning after, there’s a great source of pride. There’s a great source of pride in the Israeli capabilities. In the Israeli resilience. Some people in the Jewish community that we’ve spoken to say that since the October 7th attack between Hamas and Israel, they have felt isolated. And here in the Atlanta area alone, several synagogues have received bomb threats since the war began. John Madison, Scarpino Madison, thanks.
