New York Jets Make Roster Adjustments Following Rookie Camp
Rookie camp may have concluded for the New York Jets, but that doesn’t mean the team didn’t come away impressed with some of the players who tried out while not being under contract.
Following the final day of rookie minicamp, New York announced the signings of QB Andrew Peasley, QB Colby Suits, and DB/returner Brandon Codrington from this weekend’s tryout.

They also, and waived QB PeeWee Jarrett, LB Tre Jenkins, and DL Manny Jones.
Both Peasley and Suits impressed in workouts throughout the weekend in Florham Park. Suits played for Houston Christian for his final seasons of eligibility while throwing for 1,919 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while completing 56% of his passes in 2023. Peasley helped lead Wyoming to the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl this past season.
Codrington comes to the team as a return specialist and was even a Phil Steeler FCS All-MEAC team as a returner and defensive back in 2021 for North Carolina Central.
All three players will be competing for a roster spot with the current undrafted free agent and rookie class. Among those players, Miami’s Leonard Taylor and Michigan’s Braiden McGregor remain UDFA players to watch as the organization moves to the next stage of offseason workouts.
