New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (8) passes the football during the first quarter against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.
For the New York Giants, their 2022 NFC Divisional Round appearance feels miles away. After the Giants looked to be a team on the rise, they had a very disappointing 2023 season and appear to have a long way to go toward a return to the playoffs.
Let’s take a look at the Giants’ schedule for the 2024 NFL season, where their strength of schedule (SOS) ranks, our record prediction, and preview their biggest matchups.
New York Giants Schedule and Opponents
We don’t yet know the Giants’ exact schedule as that information has not been released, but we do know who their opponents will be for the 2024 season. We will have to wait for the official NFL schedule release to find out exactly when New York will face the following teams.
Home: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts
Road: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers
Giants’ Strength of Schedule
As far as strength of schedule goes, according to PFN’s in-house metric, it could be far worse for the Giants than it sets up to be. The Giants currently have the 13th spot in the strength of schedule ranking, one spot harder than their division rival, the Commanders.
Outside of facing their division, which includes four games against the Cowboys and Eagles, the Giants’ schedule isn’t all that daunting. However, the Giants have loads of questions heading into 2024 which complicates things for them no matter the schedule.
Giants Record Prediction: 6-11
The 2024 season will not be easy for the Giants, regardless of the favorable schedule they have. Not only is Daniel Jones a huge question mark, but he is also coming off a torn ACL injury.
Additionally, there are plenty of rumors that the Giants may be looking to draft his replacement, and adding a rookie QB into the mix convolutes things even further for a team and coaching staff that need to see improvement in 2024.
The Giants aren’t expected to be very competitive in 2024, and while this may look to be a transitional year, the expectations might be different from ownership after they made a surprise playoff run just two seasons ago. If this season is a repeat of 2023, there could be a lot of change happening inside the organization.
Biggest Matchups of the Year
The Giants saw one of their best players in recent memory leave for their biggest division rival this offseason, setting up a two-time grudge match in 2024. RB Saquon Barkley is with the Eagles now, and with a soured relationship between the player and his former fan base, things could get interesting during these classic NFC East battles.

The Giants are outmanned in these games, but that hasn’t mattered in the past when it comes to playing rivals. Who will get the better of the matchups remains to be seen, but there will surely be some emotion in these games this season.
