Seit mehr als 20 Jahren steht das Landhaus von NS-Propagandaminister Joseph Goebbels leer. Zur künftigen Nutzung gibt es jetzt einen neuen Vorschlag.

Verlassen und verfallen ist das stattliche Anwesen im Norden von Berlin. Einst lebte hier Nazi-Propagandaminister Joseph Goebbels. In der DDR entstand auf dem Gelände für eine sozialistische Jugendhochschule. Weil die Instandhaltung Unmengen an Geld verschlingt, soll die Immobilie nun verschenkt werden.

Seit dem Jahr 2000 ist Goebbels Villa “Bogensee” in Wandlitz (Brandenburg) ungenutzt. Das 50 Kilometer von Berlin entfernt gelegene Landhaus zerfällt immer mehr und ist mittlerweile zu einem beliebten Ziel von Abenteurern (“Post Places”) geworden. Auch deshalb überlegte die Stadt Berlin als Eigentümer schon mehrfach, die Goebbels-Villa abzureißen.

Goebbels bekam das Landhaus 1936. 1942 zog der enge Vertraute des Führers mit seiner Familie auch dauerhaft in die Villa Bogensee und soll die politischen Geschäfte von dort geführt haben. Die idyllische Immobilie liegt am See im Wald. Und trotzdem will das 17 Hektar große Grundstück niemand haben. Denn die Kosten haben es in sich. 250.000 Euro kostet die Instandhaltung pro Jahr. Die Komplettsanierung würde rund 350 Millionen Euro kosten, berichten die “ARD Tagesthemen”.

Nach Abriss, Sanierung und Verkauf, gibt es nun einen neuen Vorschlag. Berlins Finanzminister Stefan Evers schlug am Donnerstag vor, das Grundstück zu verschenken. “Ich biete jedem an, der das Gelände übernehmen möchte, es geschenkt vom Land Berlin zu übernehmen.” Bisher sei aber noch niemand an dem “großzügigen Geschenk” interessiert gewesen.

Berlin habe sich jahrzehntelang um eine Zukunft des Areals bemüht. “Zur Wahrheit gehört aber auch, dass dieses jahrzehntelange Bemühen ein reichlich einseitiges war.” Berlins Finanzminister Stefan Evers warnte aber: “Sollte das aber einmal mehr ins Leere führen wie in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten, dann hat das Land Berlin keine andere Möglichkeit, als so den Abriss zu vollziehen, wie er jetzt vorbereitet und von uns adressiert ist”.
