Michigan OL Trente Jones signing with the Green Bay Packers as UDFA
Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Trente Jones has signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound graduate student spent five years in Ann Arbor. Hailing from Grayson, Georgia, Jones redshirted his freshman year and made just one appearance as a redshirt freshman in 2020. As a third-year player in 2021, he began seeing times as an extra lineman in jumbo sets. He would hold onto this role for the next three years.
In 2023, Jones lost the right tackle spot in fall camp to Karsen Barnhart. However, Jones stayed the course and played consistently as an extra offensive lineman. Following Zak Zinter’s injury against Ohio State, Barnhart slid inside to right guard, paving the way for Jones to start at right tackle. Jones started in the Big Ten Championship, Rose Bowl and National Championship, and performed very well.
At Michigan, Jones was a four-time letterman, a four-time All Big Ten Academic honoree, and a vital piece of back-to-back Joe Moore award winning offensive lines in 2021 and 2022.
