These AI deepfakes looked so real which led the fans to question whether their favourite celebrities actually appeared at the event. One of the pictures that went viral and garnered almost 12 million views in 7 hours is that of Katy Perry wearing a white floral dress, in line with the theme, ‘Garden Of Time’. Fans were quick to take the comment section and wrote comments like “I wish those were real,” and “Why does AI serve more than people?”

A tweet which has been going viral has gained 4 million views till now and has her wearing a structured accent shoulder and a train, all white with green floral designs. She was all set to appear at the Met and was spotted with pink dyed hair but bailed at the last minute because she contracted the flu.
AI deepfakes of Lady Gaga with a huge, unique creation has also been doing the rounds on the internet. This was more easy to believe because of Gaga’s previous extravagant appearances. A picture of Lady Gaga wearing a white dress, resembling many stairs having flowers on each step.
Though AI deepfakes have created many controversies in the past year, these creations definitely blow our minds. During this year’s Met, many celebrities decided to show up in florals, which adhered to the theme, ‘Garden Of Time’. The carpet was also designed in colours of green and florals at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York City.
