It’s been a long time since the Mets won a World Series.
On Feb. 25, you can relive those glory days.
The ace of that staff and one of the most explosive pitchers of his era Dwight “Doc” Gooden will sign autographs at the Hobby Shop, 1930 Route 88 in the Laurel Square Shopping Center, Brick. He’ll be signing autographs from 1 to 3 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now at the store. A $50 ticket is good for two autographs.
It’s a big year for Gooden, who will have his No. 16 jersey retired on April 14 when the Mets play the Kansas City Royals.
Gooden was the Met’s catalyst when they knocked off the Boston Red Sox in the 1986 World Series.

The National League Rookie of the Year winner in 1984 and 1995 National League Cy Young Award winner went 194-112 with a 3.51 earned run average during his career, which spanned 16 seasons.
He also played for the Yankees, the Astros, the Indians and Rays.
