The Duchess of Sussex and friend Kelly McKee Zajfen pose in Alliance of Moms tops
The Duchess of Sussex has posed in a charity T-shirt to support a close friend who promoted her jam.
Meghan, 42, was photographed wearing an Alliance of Moms top, emblazoned with the words “Love like a mother.”
The charity was founded by her friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, a former model, who is one of a handful of women who have this week loyally promoted the Duchess’s new lifestyle venture on Instagram.
Ms Zajfen posted a picture on the social network of the pair wearing the T-shirts, along with further images of herself with Meghan and her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
She said the “Love Like a Mother” campaign had been launched to coincide with US Mother’s Day, which is on May 12, with proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts set to be ploughed back into the charity.
The 44-year-old wrote: “When we speak about the people in our lives who lift us up when you need it with undeniable force of pure love I think of these two. You inspire me. You pick me up when I need it and you Love Like A Mother!
“Thank you for continuing to support the @allianceofmoms. For supporting this campaign and our youth. In doing so, you are supporting the mission to build bright futures for young parents who have experienced foster care.”
Earlier this week Ms Zajfen shared a snap of Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam, nestled in a bowl of lemons, writing: “Oh Just a taste of what’s to come! So proud of you M @americanrivieraorchard.”
The two women have known each other for years having met through Meghan’s first husband, Trevor Engelson, who is friends with Ms Zajfen’s husband Julian, an entertainment lawyer.

The pair went on a skiing trip to Utah together in March, with a third mutual friend, Pilates instructor Heather Dorak.
Ms Zajfen posted several photographs of the holiday, gushing: “Beyond grateful for the best of friends! What a trip! Thank you doesn’t even begin to express what my heart is feeling after this trip.
“The love of family time and adventure and belly laughs made this trip one for the books!
“Here’s to many more adventures with friends that feel like family and appreciating each day.”
Alliance of Moms supports pregnant and parenting teenagers in the foster care system in Los Angeles.
The Duchess has long championed the charity. She has recently been supporting Ms Zajfen following the sudden death of her nine-year-old son, George, who was found unresponsive at the family home in July 2022.
The Sussexes donated $5,000 (£4,013) to a GoFundMe fundraising page in the names of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after his death.

Ms Zajfen has previously described Meghan as an “incredible friend and mother”, adding that she was “always the first to say yes and support those you love.”
The Duchess launched American Riviera Orchard in March with a website that encouraged those interested to sign up for a waiting list.
This week, she continued the soft launch by sending out jars of strawberry jam to a selection of friends and influencers who have been promoting the product online.
