McDonald’s is introducing two new crispy, southern-style sandwiches to their menus. The Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy and The Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy will be added to menus nationwide from tomorrow, April 17, according to Fast Food Club.
Both sandwiches are comprised of a southern-style fried chicken fillet, with Applewood smoked bacon on top. To add a finishing touch, there is a delicious-sounding Cajun ranch sauce. The sandwiches are housed in a toasted potato bun.
Meanwhile, The Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy has the additional ingredients of shredded lettuce and tomato. While the items will be on sale from tomorrow, Fast Food Club reports that some outlets are already serving the southern-style sandwiches.

Meanwhile, food scientist Abbey Thiel has revealed why Coke from McDonald’s is a cut above the rest, with its ice-cold temperature, optimal fizz, and unmistakable Coca-Cola flavor. It’s not just hearsay; science backs up the claim that the fast-food giant serves up a superior-tasting soft drink.

The secret lies in several factors such as dilution, temperature, and whether the water is filtered before it hits your cup. These elements are crucial in crafting the perfect soda experience, something McDonald’s seems to have mastered.
Speaking to Parade, Thiel explained: “Soft drink producers will usually have their own water supplier or a filtration system to increase the quality of water. Most often, chlorine is removed as it can result in a ‘disinfectant’ taste, the water hardness will be adjusted since it affects the acidity of the drink, and iron will be removed to limit color and flavor defects. Without this treatment, the end result is a Coke that has off-flavors and aromas due to low-quality, inconsistent water.”
