Fans of MAC makeup have been rushing to Boots to snap up a gift set that’s scanning through the checkouts at more than 70 per cent off, getting shoppers around £73 worth of free premium beauty and skincare. The set, worth £103, has been slashed to just £30, and shoppers have been left in disbelief at the value.
The MAC Frosted Favourites Beauty Gift Set was initially launched as one of the health and beauty retailer’s festive star gifts, and was £45 to buy. It received a post-Christmas price cut to £38.25 around Valentine’s Day – but now, it’s the cheapest we’ve seen it.
The haul stars a mini version of the newly-launched Hyper Real Serumizer, alongside four of the brand’s full sized best selling products, including the shopper-loved MACStack mascara, which is usually £27 and the Fix+ Stay Over setting spray, which is £29. This means shoppers are essentially paying £1 for the mascara, gloss, lip pencil and serumizer – or 25p each.
The Fix+ Stay Over mist has been a mainstay in the makeup bags of MUAs and influencers for years, renowned for its ability to set makeup in place for up to 16 hours, while the MACStack Mascara went viral shortly after its launch for it’s continuously buildable, clump-resistant formula.
The featured lip liner is in the shade Spice, and anyone familiar with the brand will know that this is regularly recommended to pair with the iconic Velvet Teddy shade and is one of the brand’s most bought products.
What’s even more exciting about the haul is that there are some relatively new products, too, with the Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick and Hyper Real Serumizer having only been launched last year.
A general view of the MAC Frosted Favourites gift set
As a result, the set has amassed a star rating of 4.8 from shoppers, with one saying: “Amazing products I cannot explain how good the lipstick is, I love it!” and “The mascara has been my go to for a while. And this set is stunning.”
Another wrote: “Great quality and size of products, brilliant mascara and cannot believe the full sized items for the price,” but not every product impressed, with fourth commenting: “Good full size products. I wasn’t personally keen on the lip gloss balm as it slid off very easily. Love the mascara and fixing spray however.”
Here’s everything the £30 MAC Frosted Favourites Gift Set includes:
Fix+ Stay Over: full-size
MACStack Mascara: full-size
Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick in shade Amped: full-size
Lip Pencil in shade Spice: full-size
Hyper Real Serumizer: mini-size
If skincare is more your thing, LookFantastic has launched a Dermatological Skincare edit which is also 75 per cent off. The eight-piece haul costs £50 but contains more than £200 worth of skincare staples, including a pharmacist-loved moisturiser, and blemish corrector from brands like Medik8, Avène and Peter Thomas Roth.
Fans of Paula’s Choice who may have been thinking about trying out the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – a viral bestseller – then you’ll want to check out this Cult Beauty Edit. The gentle, leave on exfoliant usually costs £35 alone, but the five-piece set is £39, so you’re essentially getting the other four products for £1 each.
But if you’re hoping to top up your makeup bag with some MAC favourites, now is your chance before this cheaper-than-ever gift inevitably sells out.
