CHICAGO (WGN) — A Pennsylvania pizza place is among the top spots in Yelp’s 2024 list of the 100 best pizza places in the United States.
Barbuzzo on S. 13th Street in Philadelphia was ranked 26th in the top 100 ranking released by Yelp. The restaurant has over 3,200 reviews on Yelp and a 4.3 star rating. One reviewer said “Barbuzzo is one of my favoriteeee venues!”
According to their website they’re open seven days a week with varying hours for brunch and dinner.
The yearly list was created by Yelp Elites, which the company describes as their most passionate and trusted reviewers and influencers.
New York and California got the most entries in the top 100 with 10 each.
Pequod’s Pizza, located at 2207 North Clybourn Avenue, was voted No. 1 — most likely thanks to their famous caramelized cheese crust on its pan-style pizza.
Michelin-recognized Bestia, in Los Angeles, took second place in Yelp’s ranking.

The Southern California hot spot seats diners in a converted warehouse at the edge of downtown Los Angeles, where it serves its “exceptional” wood-fired cooking.
Yelp names ‘Top 100 Places to Eat’ in the US
Rounding out the top three pizza places is Lombardi’s Pizza in New York City’s Little Italy neighborhood. Calling itself America’s first pizzeria, Gennaro Lombardi first started making pizza in the U.S. in 1905 using baking skills he learned in Naples, Italy.
