Las Vegas grieves the loss of renowned HIV/AIDS activist Hydeia Broadbent
The valley is mourning the loss of a local HIV/AIDS activist.
Hydeia Broadbent was a Las Vegan and appeared on Oprah when she was 5 years old talking about her battle with HIV.
Broadbent held numerous HIV awareness events around the city throughout her life. She was loved and adored by our community.
She passed away at age 39 on Tuesday. No cause of death has been released.
Funeral details have not yet been announced.
