indiana-uniforms
When the Indiana men’s basketball team stepped onto the home court at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, fans seemed to be confused why the Hoosiers weren’t wearing their iconic white uniforms at home.
Instead, Indiana wore their new Adidas “Fear of God” alternate uniforms, which are all black with red lettering.
Fans did not have a positive reaction when Adidas announced the uniforms on Friday. People quickly roasted the look of the uniforms for being “ugly” and “boring.” There were also comments about how the word “Indiana” was placed below the number on the jerseys.
Specifically, fans didn’t appreciate how the Hoosiers abandoned the white uniform look for a home game on Sunday vs. Northwestern.
The cream and red uniforms are iconic in Hoosiers history, so any change to the look is hard for fans to digest.
There seemed to be a general consensus on X, formerly known as Twitter, that fans disliked the alternate uniforms.
