Two investigations have begun after a civilian worker died in a fall inside Garda Headquarters in Dublin on Friday.
Sources say the man, who was in his 70s, was working on a telecommunications mast when he fell to his death.
It’s understood he was working at a height of around 30 feet when the accident happened.

Several gardaí based at the force HQ, which is in the city’s Phoenix Park, were present when the accident happened, but nobody else was injured.
Gardaí told The Irish Mirror that the Health and Safety Authority has been notified and an investigation is now underway into the accident, which happened at around 10am.
A Garda spokeswoman said: “Gardaí are investigating an fatal workplace incident that occurred at Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park this morning Friday 26th January, 2024 at approximately 10am
“The body of a male, 70s has been removed to the mortuary where a post mortem will take place in due course.
“The Health and Safety Authority have been notified.
“Investigations ongoing.”
