counters
When it comes to redoing your bathroom or kitchen countertops, it doesn’t get much pricier than using marble. And there’s pretty good reason for that, between the luxe look and long-lasting durability, marble really worth its weight in gold.
But, not everyone can afford to purchase real marble, which is why this woman is dropping a huge huge secret on her followers, telling them how they can get the look of marble without having to shell out the big bucks. Only, there’s one drawback to using this alternative, which she breaks down in the clip below.
We’ve been getting loads of great info from @therealestatefamily lately, who has diligently been sharing all their insider tips and tricks with fans. The latest insight they’ve offered is about vitium, new-ish material out on the market that is manufactured to look nearly identical to marble. Only, unlike marble, the designs don’t go all the way through the countertops, so users will need to be careful about exactly how they install it if they want to keep their secret safe.
We are actually totally on board with this idea for a lot of reasons, not least of which being that it’s probably pretty easy to fake the design on the edges. Afterall, people effortlessly recreate the look of marble using epoxy paint, it has to be at least someone easy to do the same thing on the sides of the countertop, where it will subjected to far less in the way of use and traffic!
There are a few good ways to get the look of trendy new counters for less.

If you love the look of wood counters, you can always do what this woman did and make your own. She didn’t even need to do any heavy lifting. Instead, all she had to do was get some faux wood contact paper, which she laid out over her existing countertops.
While she admits that nobody is going to mistake these for the real thing, they do make a really nice addition to her home’s decor.
Marble Paint Job Transforms Countertops

The end result is really stunning and it makes a huge difference in her space!
Faux Counters Are the Way To Go
When you’re working on a tight budget you can make the most out of the money you do have by looking for alternatives, like the one the OP suggests in her video.
The reality is that you’re probably the only one who will know the difference. And, when you consider how much you’ll save by going this route, it’s actually a worthwhile swap to make!
