Barry Keoghan with Tyrone boxer Feargal McCrory
Irish acting sensation Barry Keoghan has been pictured wearing a Tyrone GAA jersey after trading blows with a pro boxer from the county during a sparring session in New York.
The 31-year-old native of Summerhill in Dublin has received raving acclaim straight off the back of his latest monumentally popular movie Saltburn for which he received a BAFTA nomination in the Leading Actor category.
In the movie, Keoghan plays a working-class Oxford student drawn into the hedonistic world of a wealthy classmate.

Pro boxer Feargal McCrory from Coalisland, Tyrone took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Keoghan embracing after what looks like an intense sparring session in the Big Apple.
The undefeated 31-year-old southpaw included the caption: “@keoghan92 got hands. Two Irish men living the dream!! We had a great chat, and nothing comes easy. Keep up the great work!!”
He signed off with: “Hon Tyrone”
Keoghan will be disappointed not to join fellow countryman Cillian Murphy in securing an Oscar nomination this year after the Academy Awards snubbed him for his role in Saltburn.
However, the former Love/Hate star earlier this week said he was “proud” to see Irish actors “ready to take on the world”.
Speaking at the launch of Screen Ireland’s production slate for this year, Keoghan said: “It’s an amazing time to be telling Irish stories. Being able to shoot at home with an Irish crew – who are some of the best in the world – is always incredibly special to me. I’m so proud to see how many new filmmakers and actors are coming out of Ireland, ready to take on the world.”
Keoghan’s is starring in a soon-to-be-released thriller called Bring Them Down, which tells the story of a shepherd who turns to violence when his flock is killed in suspicious circumstances.
